My travel bucket list is something very near and dear to my heart. It almost a representation of my hopes and dreams.
My list of places includes both states and cities within the United States but also countries and cities. These are not any specific order.
I am a little Norwegian on my dad's side of the family. It has been a dream of mine to visit Norway since I was probably around 8 years old. Hearing my grandparents and great-grandparents talk about the culture just lit something inside me. Not only that, but it is a beautiful country.
I took a little bit of Spanish my Freshman year of high school, yes I know, this means basically nothing. But the bright vibrance of Spanish culture has always been of interest to me. I have been to Mexico a few times, and I feel like Spain would be similar to that except on steroids. Not to mention I just love Mexican food. Literally just finished eating some tacos.
3. Portland, Oregon
Oregon has been a newly added place I've been wanting to visit. I love the west coast atmosphere, especially in Seattle. Plus the immense amount of outdoor space and recreation leaves you with a million and one things to do. Portland specifically seems to have a culture of it's own, which just intrigues my travel bug even more.
4. Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Also a new addition to my travel list. I recently found out that Toronto has the World's largest Indoor Farmer's Markets. Which just sounds absolutely amazing. Not only do I love food, but buying it from a farmer's market kind of just elevates it to another level. So that is currently, mainly the reason I want to visit Canada. My friend also visited Canada a few years ago and loved it.
5. New Orleans, Louisiana
Now to take it down South. New Orleans has been on the list since I started Culinary School, mostly because of the amazing blend of French and Haitian cuisine. It also gives off the vibes of being one of the most fun cities in the U.S. With Mardi Gras being such an attraction, most people traveling to New Orleans are looking for a good time.
