I've had the privilege of owning a Nikon D70 for the past 5 years. Now, I'm not gonna lie and say that I'm a pro at photography, but having a camera besides your phone sometimes makes it more real.
I look forward to taking pictures on every trip I go on, especially if I'm going to a new place! When I'm planning a trip, I like to go on a site like TripAdvisor or a place's local town site (here's an example) and see what's there. This gives me an idea of places I want to visit as well as where some cool photo-ops might be.
When I use my camera, I usually keep it on the auto setting. I also usually keep it on auto focus. Like I said in the intro, I'm not about to tell y'all that I know what I'm doing with my camera. But I'm also not gonna say that holding this camera doesn't make feel like a professional. So my advice to you would be if you can find even a cheaper, older Canon or Nikon camera, jump at that opportunity.
My favorite part about taking photos while I'm on a trip, is when you get to see something from a different perspective. Sometimes zooming in on something a ton, and you get a whole different picture! That's what's so exciting about photography. It's an art unto itself. And when you get to turn a trip into art, honestly nothing makes me happier!
So I feel like this post kind of went no where. But honestly photography is amazing. Take pictures everywhere you go. Never take life or memories for granted.
Okay that's all :)
