Though currently I won't be traveling anywhere for the next few months, I thought it would be fun to share what places I have on my travel list!
I'm probably partially obsessed with Seattle because I'm obsessed with Grey's Anatomy... But the other thing giving me the itch to go is the fact that my Aunt and Uncle just opened up their own brewery! They have had tons of success and not only do they make good beer, but their food looks incredible! Check them out at Perihelion Brewery!
This one might sound silly, but I haven't been out to California since I was 8 years old when my parents took me to Disney Land. I want to experience what California culture is like! The beaches, the people, and the culture all sound amazing! Plus driving up and down the coast sounds like the best thing ever.
3. New Orleans
Ever since I started Culinary School I've wanted to travel to the French Quarters in New Orleans! I want to try famous beignets and celebrate Mardi Gras. Honestly nothing sounds better than French-Creole food as this very moment!
On the off chance I would be able to travel outside of the country in the next few years, Norway is at the top of my European list. I am Norwegian and have wanted to visit ever since I started learning about my heritage. I also have always wanted to see the Northern Lights, which just happen to be in Norway between October and March!
And right after Norway is Spain! I don't know quite why I have such a strong passion to visit Spain, but I think just walking around the streets would be amazing! Seeing all of the amazing architecture and sights would be so cool. Plus, Spanish is the only foreign language I ever took in high school, so I mean I need to use that at some point!
So, there is my short little list of places I would like to travel to in the next 5 years. I sort of listed them in order of where I will likely visit next. I am hoping to travel to Seattle within the next year! My first travel trip by myself! Leave me a comment letting me know where you want to travel next! Until then, check back on Sunday for a new post!
My name's Abby. I am a Iowa Culinary Institute graduate, current owner of a small online bakery, and a transaction coordinator to a couple pretty cool realtors. All in all, life is busy, but the kitchen never changes, so join me as we Take on the Kitchen!
