Wanderlust: What I packed for one day in Omaha

I am currently on my way to Omaha to go see Jon Bellion, Judah and the Lion, and Twenty One Pilots.

I don't know about you, but I always feel like it's so much harder to pack for shorter trips than long ones. Just because you never know what could happen in 24 hours. So I usually end up overpacking every time.
Since I am going to a concert, I had a little bit of a better idea of what to bring since, it's a specific event. My go to short term travel bag is my Kate Spade Weekender Bag. I'm straight up obsessed with this bag. It fits everything I need for a day or two trip. Plus it looks so sleek and sharp.   It's currently one sale so check it here!

So for this trip, "I decided to pack pretty light", she said as she shoved half her closet into her bag. Okay so maybe I packed a backup outfit for every outfit I brought. But I tried to pair down as much as possible. For the concert, I plan on wearing black leggings, a cotton purple t-shirt dress , and a navy beanie. For the car ride there, I'll probably end up throwing on a super comfy oversized hoodie. That's my usual go-to everyday outfit.
For toiletries, I usually end up using the hotel shampoo and conditioner on short trips, just because it's one less thing I have to pack. My most forgotten item is always my hairbrush. I have medium length hair so it's not imperative that I brush my hair everyday, so I usually end up forgetting that when I go anywhere. Thanks to my awesome parents, my makeup bag got an upgrade this Christmas, so I am now able to bring quite a bit more makeup with me now, which is fantastic!
And finally for my "carry-on bag". Technically I don't know if you can call it that since I'm not flying. But I usually use my black backpack. It's super light weight and fits SO much stuff. It also happens to match my Weekender Bag which is just the best added bonus. In my carry-on I have some snacks, lately some of my favorites have been Dark Chocolate and Sea Salt Kind Granola bars, Fairlife Chocolate Milk, and Baby Carrots. I also carry a cute little clutch that holds things like my headphones, charger, pens, and money.

So that's what I usually pack during a day trip! What are your go to travel items?
