Planning for a trip is one of my favorite parts of the trip.
I am currently planning a trip over the last weekend in April. I was planning on going somewhere over my birthday weekend, but it turns out that my birthday falls the same weekend as Easter. Who knew?!
My number one thing for planning my trip is tracking flights.
My friend Bailey tracks flights like it's her job. I am currently tracking 9 different flights out of different cities into some of the same cities and sometimes different cities. By doing this, Google will send you emails anytime one of your flights change in price. It's honestly so fun to watch the numbers go up and down.
The next best thing is researching the crap out of a city on Pinterest.
As soon as I roughly decided which city I wanted to go to, I immediately created a Pinterest board. I love looking through and reading what other bloggers said about the city. Plus you get a glimpse into what the atmosphere and culture will be like! You can check out my most recent board here!
The hardest part might be convincing your friends to join you.
Honestly, this is the stage I am in right now. I would be fine traveling alone, but I'm not even 20 yet, so my parents are pretty hesitant about the whole "young girl traveling in a city she doesn't know alone" situation. Which is totally understandable. But if I can grab a few of my friends to come along with me, my problems will be solved! (:
I hope you enjoyed this short little list about some things that I think about when planning a trip! Let me know in the comments below where your favorite trip has been too. I'm always up for adding more places to my Travel Bucket List.
