HA. Look who already is behind on blogging everyday!
Guys, discipline/focus is something that I can struggle with, so this activity was meant to help me do more of that. But.. it turns out I still need some more practice.
I worked all day. Went to Farrell's to workout. Then I went to a work Christmas party. It is one the first, real adult Christmas party. There was sparkling juice, a meal, and then a white elephant. I ended up getting one of the gifts that my mom brought. So two pairs of odd socks (snowflakes and octopus) and then a bag of chocolate peppermint cookies. The cookies were tasty but, the socks were a bit of a dissapointment.
I worked all day. Then I kickboxed. Then I rushed home, showered and hung out with my friend Melea. She works and lives closer to Des Moines/Ankeny, so we don't get to see each other very often. It was really nice to catch up with her! Then I came back to Ames to go to a Pancake Party. Yes, that's right I said pancake party. There are a group of guys who I go to church with who own a couple houses in Downtown Ames, and they host Pancake Parties with different themes. This one was Ugly Sweater, since we're so close to Christmas. They make pancakes, have Monster, a DJ, and a dance party. It's a fun time.
I got up at 6:30am to go to my last evaluations fro Farrell's. We had them at weeks 1, 5, and then 10, to show how much progress we have made. Over the course of 10 weeks, I was able to shave about 2 min off my one mile run, increased my push-ups by 36, and increased my sit-ups by 26. I was very happy with my results and look forward to continuing my fitness journey. After that, I took my 3 fave girls to a Christmas event at a local church. Then napped for basically the rest of the afternoon. Went to our end of session Farrell's party. And then decided that I should probably pack for my trip.
I woke up at 6:30 again. Guys, I really don't like waking up early, so two days in a row was tough. But it was well worth it to be able to fly to... FLORIDA! It was a long day of traveling, but we made it to sunny Florida around 2:30. We went to the grocery store and settled into our condo. A nice way to ease into our vacation.
First day in Florida consisted of a late breakfast, the start of goal setting for 2017, and driving around. We went to a few consignment stores, I got a sports bra, a pair pf earrings, and a sweater. Nothing super exciting. By the time we were finished with that I had fallen asleep in the car, and again napped for the rest of the afternoon. I've gotten really good at napping (Thanks Bailey (; ). We speant the rest of the night in the condo with the exception of the random late night trip to Walmart.
That has been the past 4 days! AHH! Life is crazy insane and exciting! Can't wait to keep blogging about the rest of December! Only 12 days till Christmas!
