Going to Florida with my Family was a blast! I'm hoping to do more travel diaries similar to this when I travel other places. Bailey sends me snapchats all the time of super cheap plane tickets... So who knows, maybe I'll be traveling a little more in 2017.
Miami here I come!
Today we traveled about 2 hours outside of comfortable Naples, to the Adventerous city of Miami!
We left our house at around 8:30am to drive out to Miami. We started the day out by getting Starbucks. Because, honestly what is a roadtrip without Starbucks. Then we headed out on our trek. The drive seemed pretty long, but our family hashed out some 2017 goal planning, which helped it go a little quicker.
HA. Look who already is behind on blogging everyday!
Guys, discipline/focus is something that I can struggle with, so this activity was meant to help me do more of that. But.. it turns out I still need some more practice.
I worked all day. Went to Farrell's to workout. Then I went to a work Christmas party. It is one the first, real adult Christmas party. There was sparkling juice, a meal, and then a white elephant. I ended up getting one of the gifts that my mom brought. So two pairs of odd socks (snowflakes and octopus) and then a bag of chocolate peppermint cookies. The cookies were tasty but, the socks were a bit of a dissapointment.
I feel like you guys are going to get really annoyed with how much I talk about work...
So, I clumped these days together because they were pretty chill and not to much happened.
Guys, I don't joke when I say all I do is work basically. It fills up most of my week and honestly some of my weekend. But that's life and I know that this job is just a building block to being able to fully work for myself.
December 5th was filled with Christmas! Intrigued... read on! (:
Today started off just like any other. I got ready for work, went to work, got done with work, went kickboxing. A very typical Monday for me. Can I also just say, today, for reason felt like a Tuesday. For reason, I kept thinkging that everything that normally happens on Tuesday would happen today. And I was always surprised when it didn't happen that way...
December 4th was pretty chill. Nothing super exciting.
Today started off with church. It's something I go to every week, along with small group, and college ministry. I like my church and people, a lot. (:
Then immeadiately following church, I hosted my first ever open house. Which was a very interesting experience. I feel extrememly young and inexperienced, which are both true. But it makes me nervous when I'm in the spotlight, and am getting asked questions that I sometimes don't know the aanswers to. But, nonetheless, it was a great learning experience. I learned a lot, and will definitely have more conifdence next time.
December 3rd, was quite an adventure!
December 3rd, I got to sleep in, eat my weight in saltines, and roadtripping to Des Moines. There was a German Christmas inspired market in Des Moines this weekend! It's still going on today! Look for them on Facebook at Christkindle Market on Facebook!
My name's Abby. I am a Iowa Culinary Institute graduate, current owner of a small online bakery, and a transaction coordinator to a couple pretty cool realtors. All in all, life is busy, but the kitchen never changes, so join me as we Take on the Kitchen!
