2016 was filled with a lot of ups and downs. But the blog has been a constant up for me this year.
#2016 Best Nine! Saw Newsies American tour in Jan., Had my 19th Birthday in April, Graduated from ICI in May, Started My Father's Joy in May, Made a new best friend in August, Became a little more extroverted in Oct., Traveled to Florida to Dec., Gained another family in August., and Spent loads of time with my wonderful family!
2016 was an interesting year. Between graduating from school, starting my own little business, and starting this amazing blog. As I look back on 2016, I learned a lot about myself and about working in the real world. Starting to work in the real world has had quite a learning curve. I went from walking 15-20 thousand steps a day to sitting in front of a computer form 8:30am-4pm. And while that has been a big challenge for me to get used to, I have already learned so much from working in real estate these past 6 months.
Resolution 1: Travel More
I want 2017 to be my year of travel. I want to take weekend roadtrips, random daytrips, and long summer vacations. Will they all happen? Probably not, but I'm hoping to make the most of all of my experiences.
Resolution 2: Be a more consistent Blogger
I'm really going to do my best this year and be as consistent as possible with posts. I want to be posting at least twice a week. Sunday and Wednesdays will be the norm but I will let you know it won't always be the on the same day.
Resolution 3: To Read/Learn More
Over the past 8 months, basically since I finished school, I haven't had as much time to read. That is something that I am already trying to change. I look forward to reading more literature as well as learning new things about culture, food, and travel.
I cannot wait to see what 2017 has in store for me and this blog! I'm coming up on one full year of blogging! How crazy is that? Be on the look out for some extra special surprises as January 17th quickly approaches!
My name's Abby. I am a Iowa Culinary Institute graduate, current owner of a small online bakery, and a transaction coordinator to a couple pretty cool realtors. All in all, life is busy, but the kitchen never changes, so join me as we Take on the Kitchen!
